The ‘ExTRa’, Explore, Tour, and Reassure session is an information workshop before you start cancer treatment.
This workshop can be helpful to see where treatment is given and know of the wider information and resources available to you.
You are welcome to bring a guest with you.
During the session you will have the opportunity to:
- Visit the oncology centre, where Radiotherapy and Chemotherapy treatments are given.
- Meet others facing cancer treatment.
- Visit the Macmillan Information Centre and staff at NGH – know where to go to find the information you need, when you need it.
- Meet some of our cancer team, Radiographers, information and support, Patient Engagement Team, Macmillan Citizens Advice Team & Northamptonshire Carers.
The ExTRa workshop details:
- Meet: Oncology Reception , Are N at Northampton General Hosptial
- Arrive: At 4:45pm. Workshope runs from 5pm – 6pm on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month.
- Access: On booking/invitation, please let us know if you have any requirements to enable you to access the workshop fully, for example subtitles, interpretation, mobility issues or allergies.
- Parking: NGH has an automatic number plate recognition parking system in place. On arrival at Oncology please enter your vehicle registration to qualify for free parking.
